During the pandemic, I set out to learn how to drive a manual car and took my two dogs on a road trip through the mountains. This illustration, inspired by that journey, is in a children’s book style and captures the joy and excitement of my first big car trip. It celebrates exploring new places, the beauty of the open road, and the sense of accomplishment that comes with reaching a long-awaited goal.
